Form
Texture adds depth to a photo, while also creating a more realistic and personal image. Texture can make a photo instantly seem more alive or interesting.
- A line sets the overall tone or mood for a photo, and often guides the viewers eyes to the focal point. The mood of a photo can vary depending on which direction the line is moving in.
Shape
- Shape adds the element of identification to a photo. Silhouettes are often created in order to outline the specific shape that is wanted in a photo.
Form
- Form adds a three dimensional feeling to a photo using shadows and different levels of lightning.
Texture
Pattern
- A pattern adds size to a photo, and can also be emphasized or broken. To emphasize a pattern the photo will be zoomed in and solely focused on the pattern, but to break a pattern there will be an object that disrupts the flow of the pattern.
Color
- Color sends the overall message to the viewers eyes, and can help determine the emotion of the photo.
